Foul Witch offers spooky Italian fare and an uninhibited natural wine list in an intimate gothic setting.

Taking its name from the 1985 Ridley Scott dark fantasy film, Legend, Foul Witch is an exploration between light and darkness: “Black as midnight, black as pitch, blacker than the foulest witch.” Every bite is a journey in contrast, leaving a haunt for the senses.

Foul Witch is an Italian restaurant where tradition meets evolution—celebrating the roots of regional cuisine while embracing a progressive spirit. In the heart of the East Village, we offer warm, neighborly hospitality that feels like home. Our menu honors Italian heritage with thoughtful creativity, paired with a wine list full of personality—unfussy, fun, and rooted in non-intervention practices. Cocktails are fresh and expressive, service is genuine and welcoming, and every detail is designed to bring joy, connection, and a sense of place.

Our mission is to serve a bold and evolving expression of Italian cuisine rooted in reverence for tradition and driven by curiosity. We create a welcoming space in the East Village where locals and newcomers alike gather over soulful food, vibrant wines, and thoughtful cocktails. With warmth, integrity, and a deep sense of place, we aim to foster connection, surprise, and delight—one plate, one glass, and one guest at a time.
